Hi all, it’s a very worrying and scary time for all of us but if you are looking for exercise and good health our ponies and horses still need to be ridden. We also think that mental and physical health can be greatly looked after by an hour or two in the saddle enjoying the Ashdown Forest away from social media and the news.
With this in mind we are doing everything we can to keep hacks going while following government guidelines. We can have your horse ready and tacked up in clean tack and you can go get your horse then put them back after your hack – at no point coming into physical contact with the escort, they are very good at shouting at you from a distance when needed 😁
We can be on hand to guide you through getting the horse out, 2m away as recommend so you are not on your own. We do recommend you bring and use your own gloves as additional protection and where possible, your own riding hat.
If you are unhappy leading the horse out by yourself we can lead the horse out and help you on from the mounting block with minimal contact.
Staff are continuously washing hands and we will wipe down all equipment with hot soapy water or cleansing wipes as necessary after each session.
You can pay for your session over the phone or via BACs should you be uncomfortable going into the office.
We really do believe that horses are a fantastic therapy during this scary time so book in a hack and enjoy the great outdoors safely.
Thanks to all for your support.
