We had a really lovely ride yesterday, quite special, through the woods, and a good place to begin after such a long time.  The lady who took us was so warm and encouraging, very sweet to go back for my mum.  I am sure Emma will be in contact to do another ride to get herself ready for an Ashdown forest hack, her ambition is to canter, not done for a few years!  she might need to practice at the Farm first though.

So big Thankyou and the strawberrys were lovely 😊

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for today.  I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the ride (and how much I have missed it).  Tommy was lovely and took very good care of me.
Everyone on the ride was so friendly and chatty.  It really was amazing… and made me feel really good!
I can’t wait to come again, so have looked in the diary already!!

Had my first ever ride today (well, I once rode a pony around a field when I was like 12 but that doesn’t count) and it was amazing. I rode Meg and she was so sweet and gentle. Kath led us and we had a fantastic natter, she also gave me some instruction and helped me to learn. I can’t wait to return next week and learn more and get more confident!

As a visitor to the UK from Australia, I was pretty keen to get a ride in to experience riding in the forest. I have managed to get in two rides during my time here and I cannot express how much I loved it. I rode Manuka both times and he is just amazing, he gave me the perfect riding experience.

Thanks to all at east view for a lovely ride on 9th September. Despite a crummy weather forecast, itr held out and provided us with the perfect weather for a ride around the farm. I came with my best friend who hasn’t ridden since a youngster and her partner who has only ever ridden once before western style while on a tour of america! They were each allocated 2 perfect horses, Meg & Zebedee who cared for them beautifully and were lovely and sure footed in the deep mud, and i took the lovely Apache and had a bit of a quicker ride. Staff were so friendly, nice and relaxed. We are hoping to make it a monthly thing as its the perfect chance to get together as we don’t get to see each other much. We can’t wait to come back for our next ride!

Every ride is fantastic, the horses are really great, the leaders are really good at looking after you and ensure no one is worried about the rides, unless of course you exaggerate your competence! I’ve taken my daughter and granddaughter with me and they have both loved it.

I have been riding at East View Riding centre regularly for several years now and really enjoy it.  The horses are great and the ladies who escort the rides are fantastic, very friendly, very safety conscious, and extremely competent – we are really well taken care of. There are lots of horses to choose from to suit various levels of ability, and also different rides to choose from as well – I usually do a 2 or 3 hour hack onto Ashdown Forest and count myself very lucky every time as the Forest is so beautiful in every season, and there are tracks for some really good canters, with limited roadwork to actually get onto the Forest itself.

This is the third riding centre I have visited regularly over my 20 odd years of regular riding, and I think the best.  The rides are a real social outing, and a joy to do because we all share a love of horse-riding.    The centre caters for all levels of experience and there is a farm ride for those who are not as experienced or confident so there is something for everyone.

I highly recommend this riding centre to anyone thinking of trying it out.
