I’ve been riding at East View Fruit Farm on and off for about 15 years and you’ll be very hard pushed to find such a friendly atmosphere with amazing happy horses and the most stunning rides, forest or farm.

East View Riding Centre have me a beautiful ride today on one of the loveliest horses taken by Megan through the forest! The yard was full of joyful spirited and friendly staff … it was an all round pleasure to say the least!

My daughter hasn’t ridden for a few years and Fie was brilliant with her gave her a nice slow horse to start off with and now is riding a fast horse. Brilliant friendly staff, highly recommend

This riding centre was all around fabulous. The workers was super friendly and chatty the horses were super well trained and great on the road. When a dear ran past the horses where super chill. And didn’t spook once they didn’t buck when they where at each others bums. Even though the horses where super chill they still listened when you asked them to turn. All around five star review

Really good riding with fast sections for competent riders, quieter rides for riders safe on the forest, and farm rides for the less confident, or those who want them. I love a fast safe ride, and ask for that when I book.

What a fantastic experience!!! yes that is my opening line 🙂 My wife and 11 year old daughter and I are not local and I was looking for something special to do for my wifes Birthday which is slightly difficult during lockdown. We planned are trip to the forest and came across EVRC while looking at possible things to do. My wife and daughter love horse riding but very rarely do it so thought was a great surprise. I got in touch with Fionn who was great from the very start, friendly and welcoming we were all booked in. On arrival the horses looked so well looked after and beautiful. We met Fionn who instantly was a bubbly, funny and putting our nerves at ease. Truly superb with my daughter. Throughout the whole ride the fun and laughter Fionn was giving was infectious and really put my daughter and us at ease which gave us confidence and great experience. The ride its self was beautiful through fields and forest was great experience and one would recommend to anyone. During lockdown must be extremely tough for places like this and would encourage all to take time a visit and book up. Fionn and her team taking all precautions they can and I know you will enjoy. Lovely yard with fantastic horses – hacks out onto the Ashdown Forest. Loads of fun with a wonderful guide. Also very high animal welfare setting – the horses are happy and well cared for. Perfect ?

I have ridden at east view but years ago so coming back here was really lovely, my friend was over from LA and we had such an amazing hack over the forest, it brought back many happy childhood memories of cantering over the forest without a care in the world!

The horses are absolutely amazing and take such good care of you, I rode Serena at 16.1 a gentle giant with an amazing canter ?

If you want a relaxed, easy going ride where your well looked after, and either a beginner or experienced east view is the place you need!
I will definitely be coming again

Have been riding here on a regular basis since Feb 19. Myself and a group of friends go on 3 hour hacks. Lovely, forward but sensible horses and ponies. Happy in their work. Lots of fast canters. Glorious scenery in Ashdown Forest. Fionn who runs the yard is friendly, helpful and kind. She will make sure you get a good match for your ability and that the ride is fun. Cath who also takes rides really looks after everyone too. Having tried a few other places for hacking recently, for a bit of variety, I realise how brilliant this one is.

Easily one of the friendliest and nicest riding centres I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere and people are lovely, the horses are gorgeous and hacking through the forest is fantastic!

Hiya, I just wanted to message to say how much fun we had yesterday.
This was by far one of the best riding experiences we’ve had.
My son absolutely loved every minute and felt happy and confident the whole time.
Your staff were amazing. They were relaxed and friendly, (not stuffy and standoffish – it does happen!) but we felt extremely safe and they clearly knew how to accommodate a wide range of abilities.
I’m so glad we chose East View.
I really want to book lessons for my son.
Unfortunately East View is that bit too far away from us for this, but your hacks are so reasonably priced that I have decided to take him on a monthly or bi- monthly basis.
Please thank your lovely staff for a wonderful experience and making my son’s birthday really special.

This was the first place I ever met a horse, I fell in love straight way (the horses are so lovely) and have been coming back every now and then since, I love the horses and how friendly everyone is, they make you feel at home every time you ride there, I wouldn’t even try anywhere else�

Had an excellent ride today at East View. Led by Cathy, we took a beautiful route through the forest with lots of variety in pace. Cathy is an attentive and engaging instructor to ride with, returning to riding after a few years out I felt safe and well looked after. Can’t wait to return for another ride on their lovely horses soon.

Horses are beautiful and look really well – full of character. I was made to feel incredibly welcome by staff and fellow riders. The ride itself was amazing – beautiful scenery and just so much fun. I can’t wait to go back.

What a WONDERFUL place for horseriding. We went here today for the first time for my daughter’s 8th birthday. Such a friendly place, lovely horses. The staff were great at seeing our comfort level and happy to accommodate us as beginners. My daughter turned out to be super relaxed & loved it. I was slightly less confident and they were so relaxed & reassuring with me that I really enjoyed it. My niece ended up not wanting to ride but they were great with her too and she walked around with us.

Their land is GORGEOUS and we loved gently riding in the extensive woods.
I didn’t want my daughter’s first ride to be going in circles in a school being yelled at “heels down” ?.
East View was IDEAL as it’s a positive, relaxed introduction to riding and I’m sure also great fun for more experienced riders who can head out for a more challenging ride on the forest.

Definitely head on down here whether you’re new or experienced ???

Had a great time on Saturday at East View Riding Centre. We bought vouchers for our friends for Christmas and joined them on the hack through the beautiful Ashdown forest. I arranged everything with Fionn remotely and she couldn’t have been more helpful. The girls that took us on the hack were a delight. Friendly, chatty and helpful, as we hadn’t ridden for a couple of years and our skills were limited. I would definitely recommend them if you want to go to a well run stable with well kept and good mannered horses. We’ll definitely be going back there to ride again.

Hidden Gem! What a beautiful place and people! So friendly, I live an hour away but I’ll definitely be making the journey again. All the horses and pony’s seemed extremely well kept, I went for a two hour hack on goldey a beautiful ginger mere and Jenny was our guide…. best guide I’ve ever experienced! Can’t rate this stables highly enough. Extremely accommodating especially considering I was so last minute! Thank you ?

We went on the woodland and forest hack with Darcy and had a wonderful time. Darcy was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The horses were impeccably behaved and I felt very comfortable with the horse provided for my beginner daughter. Highly recommend and will definitely come again.

My Daughter Abi, went on her first ever hack today on a beautifully natured palomino named Goldie. She had an amazing time! Has asked me if she can go on a hack at least once or twice a month now � Fionn was wonderful and made Abi feel at ease as well as Goldie. So good for her first experience. �

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time on the farm hack at east view – it was the first time my boyfriend had been on a horse and he was able to trot solo in his first hour! Thank you Jen for being such a great instructor, we will definitely be back again soon!

My husband bought me a voucher for my birthday to come on a hack here. It was absolutely amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Megan who lead us out was super reassuring to my husband who’d only ever been on a horse once.

What a wonderful experience! Kathy is an excellent guide and I was delighted to join the Saturday morning group for a hack in Ashdown Forest. The horses are lovely and really like to go! When I visit from Canada again next year I look forward to another great ride!

This is a lovely friendly Riding Stable. The horses are very kind and very well cared for. The riding out onto the Ashdown Forest is magical (whatever the weather). The rides are varied and interesting.

I have been bringing groups of young people here to ride for many years. We just keep coming back. The staff are fantastic and the horses calm and great for beginners to get their first experience of riding on. Our evenings horse riding here are a high light of the year.

Third time I’ve ridden at East View, friendy and professional, fantastic horses, forward going but well mannered. It was a fabulous 3 hour ride, helped by good sunny weather and ground a bit drier than the last time we were here. Brilliant views too. As we’re now pretty much in lock down and I can’t go much further than walking or cycling in the local park I’ll remember this great afternoon for a while. Thank you Fi!

Had a lovely day out hacking in Ashdown forest, what a beautiful place to ride! I am a relatively big guy (6’3 & 100kgs) and there aren’t many places that can accommodate me, but East View has a few big horses for someone like me to ride. The ride was fun with plenty of opportunities for trotting and cantering. Our horses were fantastic and our guide Jen was great and gave us helpful tips on our technique. We’ll definitely be back soon for another ride!

So my partner and I have wanted to go riding for the longest time, and after much searching and a recommendation from a rival stables (Tremains Riding stables) due to circumstances beyond their control, we arrived at East View Farm Riding Centre. So where I am almost a complete novice (having riden only once before today), my partner is a confident and experienced rider. Still, no matter, straight onto a horse,my horse, Katie, was patient and steady, taking me steadily and securely around a varied and interesting course, some of which is woodland and some of which is in the lovely lush greenery, so uphill down hill we went, even a couple of short trots during the course of our hour or so ride! What more can I say, a lovely setting, beautiful and patient horses, and very reasonable prices to boot if you’re in the area and want to ride, I heartily recommend this place!
